Ron is a grains industry and marketing professional of more than 30 years. His experience spans from inside the farm gate, through the supply chain, to end user markets internationally.
Formerly a senior marketing executive with AWB, Ron has travelled to most of Australia’s grain markets, has conducted his own consulting business in grain and agribusiness, and is regularly asked to provide independent analysis on industry developments. His current role at NZX involves oversight of the Profarmer, Australian Crop Forecasters and Clear Grain Exchange services in Australia.
Mitch Morison has 20 years of experience in the Australian grain industry across a range of trading and merchandising roles. During 18 years with AWB, Mitch worked in trading and National Pool roles, culminating in management of the company’s Commodity Management Division leading up to and during the deregulation of the export bulk wheat market. Mitch also spent two years with Cargill in Australia overseeing the company’s commercial activities following the acquisition of the AWB business by Cargill.
Mitch served on the Federal Government's expert panel that reviewed contentious aspects of the Australian wheat Industry Good Functions and served as a Director of Grain Trade Australia for three years from 2012 to 2014. Currently, Mitch manages an agricultural inputs business in Australia - Injekta - that focuses on improving soil performance for Australian farmers.
Tony is the founder of Plum Grove Pty Ltd and currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer. Tony is also an executive director of Plum Grove and Plum Grove’s NSW subsidiary Agrigrain. Tony has been based in agriculture his entire life, growing up on a farm in Goomalling.
Before establishing Plum Grove, Tony held senior trading roles at the AWB. His last role was as the AWB’s Derivatives Manager based in the United States. Tony is highly regarded in the grain industry on a local and international level.
